How to Post to TMMA Discussion Board
(Members Only)
Introduction
The TMMA provides a moderated discussion board to which TMMA members may post questions, information and statements related to town meeting articles and town issues.
To post the discussion board, TMMA members must have a Username (or Email) and Password registered with the TMMA.
All posts and discussions will be visible to the public.
Public access is read-only; however, TMMA members may re-post questions, information and statements submitted to them by constituents.
All posts must comply with the TMMA's Communications Policy.
If you did not receive an email from the TMMA, check your junk mail/spam folder. If you cannot locate the email, send a request to WebManager asking for help.
TMMA Discussion Board Invitation
All Winchester Town Meeting members will receive an email invitation with their TMMA-registered Usename, Email and Password with which to log in to the TMMA discussion board.
You can access the TMMA discussion board from your smartphone/iPhone, iPad/tablet and/or notebook/desktop computer.
If you do not receive an email invitation from the TMMA, check your junk mail/spam folder. If you cannot locate the email invitation, send a request to WebManager asking for help.
How to sign-in to the TMMA Discussion Board
The TMMA invitation email will include:
Your discussion board username (example: John_Doe-5); format is FirstName[underscore]LastName[hypen]YouPrecinctNumber).
Your personal email address: (example: Jane.Doe@gmail.com).
Your discussion board password: (example: xxXXxxXx). You may change your password after you have signed in; however, you must use your original password for your initial sign-in to the discussion board.
Click Go to Discussion Board or open your internet browser and paste this link in the address window: https://forum.winchestertmma.org/.
Click on the "Log In" button.
Enter your username (example: John_Doe-5) or email address: (example: JDoe@gmail.com)
Enter your password: (example: xxXXxxXx); and
Click the "Log In" button.
If the registration information is correct, you will be returned to the Discussion Board home page, where you can:
Open the categories (main topics);
Read the discussions and comments within each category;
Add comments to discussions; and
Create new discussions.
Click on a "Tag" (aka "Category") to see the "Discussions" under that category
NOTE: Some categories may have subcategories.
Click on a "Discussion" to read the posted questions, information or suggestions
You may post a reply as a comment.
If you leave a comment in the comment box, click the "Post Comment" button to post the comment immediately or click the "Save Draft" button to complete or edit your comment at a later time.
Use the menu list on the right side of the page to jump back to the list of categories or see a list of all recent discussions.
Registered users can use the options under "Settings" to be notified when new comments are posted. Notifications can be for all postings or for postings on a specific category or categories of interest to you.
Create a "New Discussion"
Click the "New Discussion" button to create a new discussion topic. The program will ask for a short title.
If you open a new discussion on the main "Categories" page, the program will ask you to select a location; e.g., category or subcategory.
