Open Meeting Law

As a private association, the TMMA is not bound by the Commonwealth’s Open Meeting Law (G.L. c.  30A, §§18-25).  

However, a TMMA member who serves on a town elected or appointed board, committee or commission is personally responsible for observing the Open Meeting Law regulations when participating in TMMA activities, especially when posting to the TMMA discussion board.
